Canoeing
Make a splash
Our Canoeing section has been running since the early eighties and is heavily centred on the river Thames. We also carry out kayaking and canoeing activities on local lakes and canals and during the winter months we offer technique training on our specialist canoeing equipment located in the BEJSC Sports Hall.
Location: BEJSC Sports Hall, New Road, Bourne End, SL8 5BS, local river, lakes and canals. River access point is normally Upper Thames Sailing Club.
Ages: 8 to 18
Equipment Required: No specific clothing is required. Life jackets, kayaks and paddles all provided
Competition(s): Devizes to Westminster (subject to ability criteria), internal club competitions

David took over the Canoeing section from Les Alexander over 25 years ago and continues to date to provide young people with access to the sport of kayaking and canoeing. Assisted by Kevin & Jane, they have taught many children over the years from beginner up to athletes representing team GB!
Fees:
Membership Fee is £60 per year or £5 per month
Section fees: £84 per 14 week term.
