BEJSC – Grand Prize Draw: Rules and Procedures

1. MEMBERSHIP
a) Club membership and individual entry is open to all.
b) Each entry ticket costs £5 per month. Members may purchase multiple tickets.
c) Each ticket purchased will give 1 entry into the prize draw.
d) Monthly payments will be made by debit or credit card (automatically administered unless cancelled by the member) and are mandatory to remain in the draw.
e) Members must provide an email address and details of a bank account on application in order to be notified if they are a prize winner. All prizes will be paid directly into members’ bank accounts. Notification of winners will be made by email.
f) BEJSC will put a notice on its website of any increase in the ticket price 6 months in advance of any change.
g) This is a rolling competition and entry will start in the month in which the tickets are purchased. Members will be only entered for the months in which payments are received. Members who join after the first month of the prize period will be entered on a pro-rata basis.

2. LICENCING
a) The Grand Prize Draw is regarded for licensing purposes as a small lottery. BEJSC has obtained a licence held in the name of Matthew Todd, Chairman and will hold it for the duration.
b) The Licensing Authority is Buckinghamshire Council.

3. PRIZES
a) Winners will be drawn twice a year in July and January.
b) The PRIZE PERIOD is the 6 month period immediately prior to the draw – ie January through June and July through December each year.
c) Due to the club launch date of May 1st 2022 the first Prize Period will cover entries received in the 7 month period from May 2022 through to and including December 2022.
d) The PRIZE FUND will be up to £ 1000 for the first prize and up to £ 500 for the second prize.
e) There will be 2 prizes drawn each prize period. Members will be credited with 1 entry per ticket purchased for each month for which payments have been received (for example a member who joins in July will have 6 entries per ticket in the next draw and a member who joins in September will have 4 entries per ticket).
f) BEJSC will notify by email all winners and will make payment into their bank account as soon as possible after the draw is made.
h) It is the player’s responsibility to provide the club with their bank details so that any winnings can be paid into their bank account. No other payment method will be used. In the event of the club being unable to contact the winner to make payment the prize will ultimately revert to the club after reasonable contact efforts have been made.

4. TIMETABLE
a) The Grand Prize Draw originally launched on 1 May 2022 as the 200 Club.
b) All payments must be received each month to qualify for entry into the Prize Fund for that Prize Period.

5. CANCELLATION OF MEMBERSHIP
a) BEJSC will suspend the ticket entry of any member failing to make a monthly payment. If signed up as a member of the sports club this membership will also be cancelled.

6. WITHDRAWAL OF MEMBERSHIP
a) Members may cancel their membership of BEJSC and their entry into the Grand Prize Draw at any time by notifying BEJSC in writing of their wish to withdraw (minimum 1 months notice) and cancelling their recurring payment authorisation with their card issuer. BEJSC may be unable to cancel the card payments and it is the responsibility of the member to ensure the card payments are cancelled if they wish to withdraw.
b) Members will remain eligible to win prizes in the current Prize Period for the months for which they have paid before cancellation.

7. DRAWING WINNERS
a) The draw is to be made by picking names using an online random name generator.
