Role Description
The Child Welfare officer is responsible for safeguarding issues within the football section and to ensure that the club operates a safe, child friendly environment and promotes good practice in line with the club’s and FA Child Protection Policy.
The CWO will arrange CRC checks, verify documents and monitor overall compliance of all volunteers. Also, attending Committee/Disciplinary/Team Manager’s meetings and liaising with County FA and League Welfare Officers.
Working closely with the main club CWO this person will be honest, compassionate and sharing to safeguard all our members and children throughout their journey within the section and wider club.
Commitment
Average 3 hours per week.

Key to Qualification requirements (NB: All courses will be funded by the Club):
A = FA Enhanced CRC
B = FA Child Safeguarding Course (3 Hours)
C = FA First Aid Level 1 course (3 Hours)
D = FA Safeguarding for Committee Members course (online 1.5 Hours)
E = Child Welfare Officer’s course (3 Hours)
F = FA Playmaker course (online 4.5 Hours)
G = FA Level 1 course (Practical modules 37 Hours)
