Indoor Climbing

Going up in the world

**CLIMBING IS CURRENTLY PAUSED**

Our very popular Climbing section has been running since 1997 and provides a great introduction to the sport of climbing and bouldering. We provide all the training and skills required to engage safely in the sport of mountaineering and our indoor wall has a variety of wall challenges and bouldering sections to cater for all levels. Our members are encouraged to mix throughout the age range and we hold annual competitions in both the junior and senior groups.

Leader: Sammy Jackson
Sammy has been climbing on and off since the age of 14. At 16 Sammy went to college to study Outdoor Education which involved lots of climbing, kayaking and other outdoor sports. Since then Sammy has spent a few summers in France working at outdoor activity centres instructing these sports. On returning to the UK in September 2018 Sammy has been working as a full time instructor in the local area. Sammy is also a Level 1 Watersports coach so if not climbing then can often be found kayaking.
